Musical Theater Program

 

Does your child want to be a star or have the acting bug?  If so, Parallel Sound Studio's Musical Theater Program is the perfect fit for elementary school children grades 2-6 who love to sing, dance and create scenery.

Students will be introduced to the world of musical theater with a variety of fun classes. They will learn theater games, improvisation, warmups, dance, vocal exercises, voice and diction, terminology, acting, and scenery construction, all while developing a character and rehearsing for a full staged musical production just for family and friends at the end of the session.

Kids Rock!

Its been a challenging year and while in person singing is not currently encouraged, we are planning an online show that features music, songs, dance and drama connected to the them of perseverance.

Artistic Freedom

This format will give your child a great opportunity for a solo or duet song in the performance. They could also act out a famous scene from a movie or play or sing in the chorus if that is their preference. 

 

Choice of Involvement

They can do one or all of these things and we are encouraging their creativity in this as we combine the music, acting and dancing into a fun and energy filled show that will allow your star to really shine in this winter/spring!

 

Along the way, your child will learn singing and acting techniques, help build sets and create costumes with our experienced staff. 

 

In addition, we have a number of fun and engaging improvisation exercises and games to bring out the inner actor in any child!
