The Quacktastic Rubber Duck Factory has a big order to send and an important tour to give to a VIP reporter, but its crazy group of employees might make things interesting!
Our Theater Program gives young actors an encouraging introductory musical theater experience, from an exciting first day of getting to know the show to an exhilarating final performance. Every child will be assigned a named role and have a chance to shine. With the guidance of an experienced teaching artist, actors will learn the skills to bring this fun play to life on stage. Families will be provided instructions for how to assemble a costume for the final performance in June!
Our spring production is a play focusing on humor, acting and having fun. Alister Waddlesworth, owner of the Quacktastic Rubber Duck Factory has a lot on his hands. Together with his faithful assistant, Mr. Quackers, they have a large order of rubber ducks that have gone missing on the very day an important reporter, Debby Ducksworth, is coming for a factory tour. Will they be able to get the order out and give a successful tour with a group of very colorful employees whose only work objective is to be silly?
Students will be introduced to the world of theater with a variety of fun classes. They will learn theater games, improvisation, warmups, voice and diction, terminology, acting, and scenery construction, all while developing a character and rehearsing for a full staged production just for family and friends at the end of the session.
During classes, students will learn the basics of acting, props, costumes and create scenery. They can do one or all of these things and we are encouraging their creativity in this as we create a fun and energy filled show that will allow your star to really shine in this Spring!
